Delicious Homemade Summer Salsa Recipe
A really simple, but delicious salsa recipe using fresh and natural ingredients.
6 med. fresh tomatoes, diced
1 med. red onion, diced*
1 large green pepper, diced
2 to 3 hot chili peppers, diced
1/4 bunch fresh cilantro, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 to 2 T tabasco sauce (to taste)
1 T lemon juice
3 T fresh basil, chopped (optional)
Salt to taste, if desired
Mix all ingredients and allow to sit at least 30 minutes before serving. Your choice of peppers and the amount of tabasco sauce you choose to use will determine if the salsa is mild, medium, or hot. This salsa recipe is flexible enough to make it like you like it! (It also makes plenty.)
*I like to slightly cook the onion for better digestion; just place the chopped onion in bowl and microwave for one minute.
