Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Cookies
Yummy recipe for peanut butter cookies, each topped with a delicious miniature hershey’s reeses peanut butter cup (or hersheys kiss or hug). Perfect to make for the holidays or anytime. Really simple and easy recipe. Older kids can have fun rolling the dough and pressing the chocolate candies in the cookies. Recipe requires a mini muffin baking pan and, ideally, mini muffin pan paper liners.
Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 egg (beaten)
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp milk
48 miniature reeses peanut butter cups or hersheys kisses / hugs
Directions
Preheat oven to 375° F (190° C).
Sift flour, baking soda, and salt together and set aside.
Cream butters and sugars until mixed well and fluffy in consistency.
Beat in egg, vanilla extract, and milk.
Add the flour mixture slowly, mixing well.
Use mini muffin papers to line.
Shape cookie dough into 3/4″ diameter balls and drop one in each paper.
Bake at 375° for 8 to 9 minutes. (While baking, remove wrappers from candy.)
After removing from oven, immediately press an unwrapped candy into each ball.
Remove cookies from pan after allowing to cool.
Hershey’s Hugs look especially festive for Christmas. Although I haven’t tried it (yet), Rolos would probably also be really good. You can also add sprinkles, chopped nuts, or chopped candy such as crushed toffee pieces to the tops of the cookies. Irresistable!
