AKA: idiopathicendolymphatic hydrops
Causes: not yet known.
Symptoms: sudden and extreme vertigo, intermittent and/or gradual hearing loss, fullness/pressure of the ear (such as experienced with elevations), tinnitus (ringing/buzzing in ear).
Cure: not yet known.
Treatment: low sodium diet, diuretics, surgery, medications for the vertigo, injections into the ear to destroy vestibular tissue. other treatments in experimental stages.
