Create Free QR Code Without Installing Special App
You can generate a QR code using your browser.
Using DuckDuckGo:
Type qr followed by the web address you want the QR code to go to.
ex: qr https://www.datSplat.com
Using Chrome on mobile:
Visit the web address you want the QR code for and then select Share under the three vertical dots. You should see a QR code option.
Using Chrome on your desktop:
Believe you can do the same as mobile, but right click for the QR code option.
Important: After you’re done creating the QR code, it is highly recommended to verify it. To confirm the QR code was created correctly, you shouldn’t need a special scanner app or software if you’re using an Android phone, as the camera app should be able to read it. Just open the camera and focus it on the code.
If you’re looking for something fancier, the free online QR code generator at the following link will let you customize your QR code and even allow you to add your own company’s logo or other image to it:

Note: datSplat is not affiliated with the above site in any way. We have used it to create free downloadable QR codes for books and publications, and have found it works well, so this is just a suggestion for those looking for more design in their QR codes. At the time we used them, you could download the product without any need to provide an email address or sign up for anything. We truly appreciate this, which is also why we have included them here.
