Free Reverse Phone Number Lookup – Using Google Power

Internet

Google can be used to do many things, including looking up a U.S. phone number and finding out who it belongs to, aka “reverse phone lookup”.

Here’s how to do a reverse phone number lookup with Google.

In the Google web search box, type phonebook: followed by the phone number, like:

phonebook: 503 555 1212
phonebook: 5035551212
phonebook: (503)5551212

The format of the phone number is not important. Google’s smart enough to figure out what you mean. Go ahead and give it a try.

You can also try formats such as:
J, Jones Los Angeles (first name or initial, last name, city with or w/o state)
John, Jones CA (first name or initial, last name, state)
J, Jones 209 (first name or initial, last name, area code)
John, Jones 95305 (first name or initial, last name, zip code)

Look closely at the results and you’ll also see a Map link which will take you to Google Maps for the address (or general vicinity as the case may be) that matches the phone number.

If you find that your residential phone number is listed in the Google phone directory, but you do not wish for it to be, you can contact Google for removal.
